XRAE is a patented "eXtensible Realtime Appplication Environment" which enables the implimentation of real time control products from conecpt to first customer prototype (alpha site) within as little as 8 man weeks.  XRAE utilizes our Concurrent Spiral Development Process that maximizes asset reuse from requirements to manufacturing support, focusing on reducing development time, improving product qaulity and reducing support costs.

XRAE offers a documented library of software objects, source code, test plans, test results, electronic hardware platforms, schematics, circuit board designs and electronic packages that enable the creation of communicating real time control products by starting many projects with an operational and tested hardware & firmware platform.

 

Product functionality is defined within graphical "software schematics" called User Application Programs (UAPs).  Each UAP interconnects Software Objects with wires similar to a hardware schematic.  Every software function of every XRAE object utilizes the exact same software interface and thus the output of any object function may be connected to the input of any other object function greatly simplifying product development efforts.

 

XRAE provides a suite of reusable UAPs (Applets) commonly needed within control products, such as UAP_POWER_UP, UAP_LED, UAP_FAULTS, UAP_PRODUCE_IO _MESSAGE as well as application level UAPs such as UAP_CURRENT_MONITOR, UAP_VOLTAGE_ADJUST and other UAPs useful in creating your product.                                                                                                                                                                             XRAE is currently used in all types of devices; controllers, operator interfaces, network gateways, IO modules, communicating sensors, actuators, data storage devices and so forth.  All devices use the same set of objects where its UAPs determine how the device works.  All devices containining XRAE today (except one) utilize peer control over various real time control networks.
